The Vee Pass & Knockmealdown Mountains (Tipperary/Waterford)

Located only 16km from Boolakennedy Cottages in Cahir, The Vee Pass offers some of the most stunning scenery in the south east of Ireland. The "Vee" refers to the hairpin bend on the road climbing from Clogheen, but also the V-shape of the gap between the mountains when viewed from afar.
The road passes over the Knockmealdown mountains from Tipperary into Waterford and once hosted the Tour De France back in 1998.
